The Devil Dogs of Kai

[Koushi]

Makoto snarled at the Kai who nearly attacked Rae. Then he heard Akumatora.
"Of course' we're with Ohu! We're not with that bastard Ashi!" he pointed out fiercely, ready to fight if needed. "Our Leaders were captured, and he's taking over fast. If you're not with us, you're against us!" he barked, eyes glistening with ferocity.
/Kai Dogs, hmm...?/ He glanced at Kaitora. /And that one looks strangely familiar.../ He tried to remember, who could the fathers of these dogs be? It was on the tip of his tongue, but his anger caused him to lose focus.

[Aki]

Kazetora felt pain rush up his neck as Blue's fangs sunk into his neck. He fell to the ground as he was pinned now. He turned his head to clamp down onto Blue's paws but stopped as the large Husky spoke. "W-What? Weed? Aki?" He snarled slightly, biting onto Blues paws as he quickly escaped from the large dog and appeared by Kaitora. "Brother. Theese are recruits of Ashi. They've stolen Weed." He snarled into his brothers ear.

[Tokimune]

They say they are dogs of Ohu." "Hmmph, dogs of Ohu. My father is a dog of Ohu. Not these mutts." He watched as the one dog grabbed his brother. These are recruits of Ashi. They've stolen Weed." "Say what!" His body tensed. He looked over the crowd of dogs. Trying to spot at least one wolf. "B-Brother, I see no wolves. I only smell a faint scent of one on one of the dogs. If they were with that bastard Ashi, they would reak of wolf."

[Taiya]

Kotone confirmed a rumor: The Kai dogs were hot heads, easy to anger. 'I must be really suspicous. I'm half wolf, after all. That Ashi lady((I know that Ashi is male, but she thinks he's a female)) really knows how to give wolves bad names. Not to mention, they have just been betrayed I might be thought of as a spy also. Maybe I should leave.... No! This is the Ohu army, a once in a lifetime opurtunity.' she thought, closing her mouth and unbearing her teeth. She still kept her guard up. She also couldn't help notice how strong Blue was, that Kai dog was bigger than her!

[Rae and Blue]

Blue whirled around. "Kurotora, Am I right?" He said, glaring at the Kai dog, He remembered aki speaking about them. He lifted his head. "Listen. I haven't got time to argue with you. But if you are to join us..." He turned to Makoto. "Friend, I need you and Rae and Kotone to go to Hokkaido. And win them over to Ohu." He looked in the direction Haru had left. "I'm going to get Aki and Tokimune back. And kill that bastard." He growled, emotion brimming in his eyes as he turned towards Utsunmaiya. He then turned to the Kai dogs, "I already know what your thinking, 'Oh he's going to the Alps to report to Ashi about the Kai dogs.' And no. If you want, you may travel with my comrades and see for yourself that we're with Ohu. for the dogs of Hokkaido would never join ranks with any other dogs. Or wolves for that matter." he growled at the last statement. Heading down the mountain towards Utsunmaiya. "Please, dogs of Kai, Help Ohu. For another generation." His voice faded over the mountain.

Rae stood dumbfounded. She stared down the mountain, itching to run after her brother, they had /never/ been apart. "B-Blue..!" She called after him, but respecting her brothers wishes, she stayed by Makotos side. Her eyes looked at Makoto, swimming with tears. Obviously, he was in charge now.

Akumatora scoffed as Blue took off, but he lifted his chin. "These guys don't seem to be lying, Kazetora." He said sulkily. Wanting a real reason to fight them, but if they were with Ohu, he didn't have an quarrel with them.

[Taiya]

Kotone shivered slightly. She suddenly felt very lonely as her fur fell down back into place and she lowered herself into a peaceful, non-menacing position. She couldn't help but lie down, overwhelmed by the sudden events. As she put her head on her paws, she couldn't help but turn and gaze at the male whos name she didn't catch. Her eyes were cold as if it was his fault that Blue had abandoned them. 'No that's not right, I shouldn't do that.' she closed her eyes and looked away. Hokkaido is where she was born, eastern Hokkaido to be exact. She had a few friends there, but they were the last people she wanted to see. Kotone especially didn't want to see her siblings. She sighed through her nose.

[Aki]

Kazetora stared at the group hardly as his brother spoke. " You are right..." He snarled slightly under his breath as he hated to admit defeat. His eyes flashed to his cousin before giving a nod of the head. "I am Kazetora, son of Kagetora. Kurotora is my grandfather." He dipped his head lightly toward Blue as his eyes met the dog.

He turned his head up as he scoffed. "Of course we'll be joining. Ohu isn't going anywhere without Kai." He barked turning to his brother and Cousin. "Right?!" He barked back at them. He noticed Blue's disappearance over the mountains as he turned toward Makoto. "We're following him, weither Ohu or not. Right?" He looked at the other two Kai-dogs for they're approval.

[Koushi]

Makoto smiled and sighed with relief. It seems that they had won Kai over. But he and Rae had a new task - to travel north to Hokkaido and recruit Hakuro's son and his pack. He twitched his ears curiously. /Would they join us as easily as the Kai had?/ he thought, blinking as if staring at nothing.
He glanced at Rae, then stepped forward, brushing his pelt against hers gently. "Whenever you're ready to go," he barked softly, looking at the Kai dogs as well. "I understand Kagetora, his father, and his uncles were a great addition to Ohu's soldiers." Makoto dipped his head. "I'm sure you'll be twice as great."

[Tokimune]

"I'm sure you'll be twice as great." "Hey we will be three times as great!!" He barked as he jumped down over to his brother. "Of course we are going to go with them. If they are Ohu, what will father think if we didnt continue his legacy to help Ohu." He nudged Kazetora lightly and whispered in his ear. "Who is that girl dog over there?"

[Rae and Blue]

Rae pressed her shoulder to Makoto's and dug her claws into the ground. "I was born ready." She said with a hint of sorrow in her voice, she tried to hide it with ferosity and bravery. But worry dragged at her paws and seemed to cement her to the ground. She shook her pelt, as if that would help with the ache that was spreading through her body.

Akumatora lifted his head to the sky and shouted his approval. "Of course! We'll follow in our families footsteps and defend Ohu once again!" He howled, His fur bristling with excitment now, the previous argument already fading away.

Rae looked over the the other Kai dog, And heard him whisper, She lifted her head, suspecting he was talking about the 'issue' of her being a female. "I can fight just as well if not better than any of you!" she spat defensivley, her fur bristling.

[Taiya]

Kotone stood up and looked at the two. She had had enough of them already. She shook her pelt and turned to the two. "Have fun." she sprinted off after Blue and past the Kai dogs. Kotone couldn't help but laugh, this was so reckless that it was funny. She didn't want to go back to Hakkaido and her family until she was about to die. She breathed in the fresh mountain air as she chased after Blue's group. 'He had a bit of a head start. And besides, I'm still not part of their pack technically.' she reassured herself as she jumped over a boulder that was in her way. By now, Kotone could just make out Blue's outline. She bit her tongue, hoping he wouldn't be to upset as she sped up.

[Aki]

Kazetora's eyes floated toward Makoto as he dipped his head. "Thank you." He returned his head as he stared at his brother. He looked over at Kotone, eyes narrowed slightly as she sped past him and his brother. He gave a shrug and stared at Rae and gave a small laugh. "You must be a hell of a fighter if Ohu are being soft." He said calmly to her ignoring her for a moment more.

"Come on you lazy asses! We'd better get a move on now!" He howled to the army of 27.

[Tokimune]

Kaitora smerked. Damn she heard me. He thought to himself. "I can fight just as well if not better than any of you!" His ears perked. "Show me once we get to Hokkaido." He gave another smerk as he knocked into his brother playfully. Come on you lazy asses! We'd better get a move on now!" "Cmon, mutts." He said half jokingly.

[Rae and Blue]

Rae stayed close to Makoto, her fur still bristling at the Kai dogs. She huffed and lifted her chin. Accepting the Kai dog's challenge. She turned around and stared in the direction of Hokkaido, 'Well, this is it. Please... Brother... be safe...' her eyes brimmed with tears as she thought of the worst thing possible. 'Don't die...' she added a final prayer and took a few steps forward, The road to Hokkaido was fairly short now, they could make it there by dawn.

Akumetora stood beside his brothers and waited for Kazetora to give the signal, His paws itched with excitment.

[Koushi]

Makoto nudged Rae playfully, then turned to the Kai dogs. He listened to the conversation for a moment, then bent over towards Rae.
"Heh, I think you should go easy on them. They look like pups to me," he whispered, making sure she was the only one who heard, "And it wouldn't take much effort."
He smiled, wanting to encourage her. He looked at tha Kai Dogs once more and prepared himself. "Alright, we can leave anytime, then," he barked, tail wagging with anxiety. He hasn't seen the pack of Hokkaido in a long time. Who knew they would just ditch Utsunmiya like that? It made him wonder...Why? Was there some kind of threat Utsunmiya possessed while he was gone? And wouldn't Rae and Blue have mentioned it?
He shuffled his paws in confusion, but didn't want to spoil the good moment. Makoto decided to keep the thoughts to himself.
