Kotone smiled and nodded. She opened her mouth, as if to say something, she shut it. She shook her head, almost laughing at herself. She hadn't talked in a while. But she couldn't help but feel talkative with so many dogs around. "I'm Kotone," her voice cracked, clearing her throat she began again "are you...a fighter by any chance? Or maybe a sled puller?" her voice had now melted into a clear note. It was a completely random question, but she could small many more dogs on him and he was muscular.

Tokimune was laing down now on his stomach. His body was getting hotter and hotter. He continues to pant while he looked around at the others. His ears perked as he heard Haru. "Do you want me to fetch you some water, Tokimune-kun? Maybe there's a cavepool somewhere..." "That...would be great...thanks." He said while panting. He layed his head on his paws as he looked over down the mountain. He sighed.

Kisaragi walked over by tokimune then she looked up at the Wolf like figure, , She wasnt ableto make out what the figure was, but she heard the voice perfectly.. "I'm Kotone," "are you...a fighter by any chance? Or maybe a sled puller?" She growled slightly, and turned to tokimune "Tokimune-kun, Do you by any chance know Kotone?"

Makoto twitched his ears. "What's wrong with hunting mountain birds at--"
Rae had slipped! He immediately lunged forward, wrapping his jaws carefully around her scruff so that he wouldn't harm her. "R-Rae, hold on!" he said through a mouthful of fur. He slowly backed up, using all his stregth, all his muscles, to save her from falling over the edge.
/Please!/ he begged in his head, /Please don't let her fall!!!/ His fur bristled wildly and his heart drummed like falling rain on rocks.
"Right away, Tokimune-kun!" Haru whipped around, jumping gracefully onto the side of the mountain. Being a Nin-ken meant she had excellent balance, as well as strong legs. She sniffed around, jumped down diagnally, and disappeared into a cavern.
She padded inside, bright lichen lit her path as it led her to a wet cave, with stalactites dripping fresh water from above. "Perfect," she whispered, putting her nose to the ground until she found a pool of water within the dimly-lit cave.
Haru turned a corner and nearly slipped. She looked down at her paws, which were submerged within a foot-deep hole of water. She sneered, and shuffled around to gather some moss from the cavern's entrance.

"Right away, Tokimune-kun!" Tokimune nodded, then rested his head back down on his paws. He felt tired, but needed the water to soothe the heat he felt. He was still panting slightly. His tail flicked a few times as he shifted around on the ground to find a comfortable position to lay down in.

Haru returned with the moss, and submerged it into the pool. She squeezed it, then let it suck in the water, like a sponge. Snickering, she grabbed the seed hidden within her banndana, and cracked it open. Using her claws delicately, she sliced the heart of the seed into tiny pieces, and dabbed the moss on the little fragments.
Using some extra moss, she wrapped it around the main blob, hiding the shards of seed. She carefully picked the soaked moss in her teeth and padded outside of the cavern, eyes slowly adjusting back to the darkness of the mountain. She swivelled up a crack, and climbed up the ledge quickly. She panted a bit, careful not to let the contaiminated water or seed bits fall on her tongue. Haru then leapt closer to Tokimune, and slowly put the blob of soaked moss down.
"Drink up," she panted, ears twitching curiously. "It's getting late, if it's okay with you, Tokimune-kun, you think I could rest?"
/Pfft, like I care what this brute thinks...Well, I've got to have an allibi just in case he suddenly collapses or something./ In her mind, she imagined herself rolling her eyes, but in reality, her eyes just stared at Tokimune - patient for a reply from their temporary 'leader'.

He was still panting. His body was still feeling very hot, and he felt very tired. He licked his lips, as he looked around. His ears perked. He could hear the faint sound of jumping. Haru must have been returning with the water. He sighed, hopeing maybe the cool liquid would be releif from this heat that he was experiencing. He turned his head as she approached. He watched as she dropped water soaked moss in front of his muzzle. Drink up," He looked up at her. "Thank you so much." "It's getting late, if it's okay with you, Tokimune-kun, you think I could rest?" "Of course"
He then turned back to the moss. He licked it once, he could feel the water on the surface of it. It was very cold. It seemed to be holding the water like a sponge so he picked it up in his mouth. He then squeezed it lightly to allow the water to drip back into his throat. Once it was dry he spit the moss back onto the ground. He could feel the cool water travel down his throat. A few minutes later, he felt really tired. He layed his head down and fell asleep instantly. His toungue was hanging out of his mouth.

"That quick?" Haru blinked after a few minutes. She peered around, then smirked. Blue was still out scouting, and Makoto and Rae were still out hunting. Making sure nobody saw, she quickly heaved Tokimune onto her back, groaning under the weight of the unconcious Kishu. She gathered all her strength and leapt into a tree.
/Phase one, complete. Now to stash him.../ She looked around, twisting her face when she smelt the body of a decaying mountain goat nearby. She let out a small cough, then jumped towards it, carefully balancing him on her back, which had already started to ache. "Damnit, fatass!" she snarled softly, glaring over her shoulder where he was.
They reached the site of the body, and she flinched. "Ugh...This should cover our scent trail," she whispered, grabbing a bone and scrubbing herself and Tokimune with it. The overpowering stench was sure to mask her scent. She threw the evidence off the mountain, then groaned again when she lifted the gray and white hound on her back again.
She raced to the foot of the mountain, pads getting bloody from the rocks and joints aching because of the load. Haru padded a good mile away before finding a hidden hollow tree, where she could stash him in while she set up everyone with the Kai dogs of the mountain. She slowly put him down, took a quick break, and zipped back towards the mountain, panting heavily. Haru felt exhausted -- but she knew she had a job to do. The moon was already up in the sky. She was sure to run into someone back on the ledge.

Blue looked at kotone, He gave a half smile. "As if. No, I'm with the Ohu army, and I guess you could say I'm a fighter. But not in the sense where I fight dogs for enteratinment, as humans have them do." He added, Shaking his fur, "Why you up here all alone? Its not the best living conditions." he said, looking at the tall precipes above.
Rae gasped as his teeth closed around her scruff, She struggled and clawed at the side of the mountain, And as he pulled her up, her hind legs finally caught a foothold and she lunged up and over the side. Panting, her whole body shook with terror. She swallowed and lay her head on her paws, still trembling. "T-Thank y-you.. M-Makoto..." She managed the three words, Her heart thudding wildly against her chest as she tried to not think of what almost happened.

Kotone shrugged. It was a good question. Prey was scarce up here and there wasn't much to 'study' up here anyways. She had seen most of northern and central Japan in about the year and few months she had been travelling. In all honesty, she had nowhere to go except back, but then what would she tell her family? Noticing that she was spacing out, she decided to answer him in the simplest way she could. "I haven't anywhere to go." it was the first time she used that phrase and she hoped she'd never use it again as a chilly breeze ruffled her fur.

Makoto, panting from the near-death experience, wrapped his neck around her and rested his head on her back, as if a tight hug.
"I'm so glad you're okay," he panted. "I don't know what I'd do if..." He didn't even want to think about it. A shudder ran down his spine, and his ears folded, as if this was his fault. "L-Let's...Let's go hunt now," he said, noticing Haru return to Tokimune with a soaked ball of moss.
"Haru seems to have things taken care of here, let's get some food, and take your mind off of..." Makoto glanced down again, and shivered. He licked Rae's cheek and caught his breath, feeling less and less shy everytime he let his affection for her show...

Rae felt her heart beat slow as Makoto layed his head over her. She sighed, keeping her eyes shut as she cleared her mind. She swallowed again, Accepting his warmth, She lifted her head and pressed her muzzle into his neck fur, Taking in his scent as she licked him back. "A-Alright, I think I'm ok now.." She said, slowly getting to her feet, She leaned on Makoto, Shutting her eyes again. "Yeah.. Me to.. I'm sorry, I should have been more careful.. I didn't mean to scare you like that."
Blue looked at Kotone, "Well. I'm not the leader, but once I get some prey, your welcome to come back to camp with me. We're heading to Hokkaido to gather troops to lead against that bastard wolf, Ashi!" he growled the last few words, His pelt rising in fury as he remembered Aki, walking off willingly with Rin.

Kotone nodded, looking curious but not inquiring further. The name sounded familiar- must have been a rumor she heard, although she remembered vividly that he wasn't the nicest of all dogs. "Can I hunt with you?" she asked quietly. Kotone wondered if she could catch smaller prey, she had been taught by her wolf father how to hunt so she had been taught to hunt bigger prey.

Blue looked at Kotone warmly, "Sure." He said, Already putting his nose to the ground, it was sort of nice to have company, Since Rae and him didn't speak too often. He smiled, perhaps this Kotone could be to him what Makoto was to Rae? He shook his head. 'Thats jumping the gun there.' he thought to himself, mentally amused at his random thought.

Tokimune felt himself drift off into a deep sleep. He could feel nothing of the outside world. All he could see was blackness, until he started dreaming. He saw visions of deer, and other wild game. He must have felt a little hungry. Then he saw Aki. He ran toward him, but Aki kept moving farther and farther away. Until he finally caught up to him. Then the floor disapeared and he felt himself falling and falling. He neve rwoke up from his sleep though.
