Dagger paced restlessly around the territory. He was pleased that Aki was captured, but disappointed that Ashi didn't choose him to fetch Tokimune. "I could be a leader if he just gave me a chance..." He muttered with frustration.

He looked down onto the plateau, there was a soldier causing unrest. He trotted down to the plateau and shouted at the dog, "Hey, you there, get over here, we need to talk." He couldn't tell who it was at the moment, he was tired and didn't care. He was just angry that he had to wait longer for Haru to arrive, and now there was a problem in his soldiers that he had to deal with. He sat down and waited for the dog to get over to him.

Dagger turned around and met Ashi's gaze. He wasn't happy. Dagger trotted over to Ashi and bowed his head. "Yes sir?" He looked up to meet Ashi's cold blue eyes. His fur was laying flat, but he could tell that Ashi was tense.

Ashi glared at the dog, "Why were you causing all that commotion in the calmest part of the day? And who are you?" He flicked his tail in disgust. What the hell he was wasting his time here for? He was really pissed now, being woke up by an annoying bird this morning, then Haru not being back, no decent thing to do, and now this. He groaned, did the crap around here ever end? He walked in the opposite direction of the dog, and took a deep breath, the last thing he wanted to do was kill a soldier that was annoying him.

Dagger bowed his head. "My name is Dagger sir. Sorry for disrupting you." He followed Ashi. He knew that he had had a bad day. "Sir.. would you like me to go look for Haru? She hasn't returned yet and I know Tokimune is a key role in your plans."

He looked at Dagger, now he remembered. He laughed, the dog better be sorry, he had enough crap to deal with already. He took a few steps to the left of Dagger, "Oh, Dagger," He looked back at the dog, "No, i don't want you going after Haru, you're not a spy, she should be back anytime, and I have a feeling you were trying to get my attention before. So, what was it you wanted to talk about Dagger?" He laid down, relaxing his muscles and exhaling as he did so. He closed his eyes, waiting for Dagger's answer and Haru's return. He sighed 'I wish they would hurry up, stupid Aki is getting restless in his cell'

Dagger sighed with relief. "Very well sir." He looked down at Ashi. Dagger relaxed. His tense attitude turned softer, but still harsh. He didn't want to sound soft and tender to Ashi. If he wanted to be a platoon leader he had to be in complete control. He took a breath. "I feel that I would make a good platoon leader sir." He looked straight in Ashi's eyes, showing no sign of fear or anxiety. "I want to help this pack win. I joined this pack because I felt it had more meaning. Those little Ohu brats are always gloating. Weed didn't deserve to be leader, he got all of his power from his father. They don't deserve to be alive. The paradise needs to be led by a good leader like you Ashi. I wish to help as much as I can." He bowed his head.

He glanced over at Dagger. He opened his mouth, but a fly flew in and he started to choke. 'Damnit, stupid fly' He coughed for several minutes, he struggled to get the fly unlogged from his throat, he ended up swallowing the fly,he gasped for air to catch his breath. He looked at Dagger again, eyes watering from having been choking only a few seconds ago. "You probably would, it seems you have the interests of the army, and that is what I'm looking for in my platoon leaders. You fit the first few of my requirements. However, how well do you fight... to lead in this army, you have to be strong. So, prove yourself..and fight me. If I find that you are strong you will be a leader in my army, if you lose, there are several options for me to choose from, before the fight, if you'd like I will tell you them."
(OOC: Dagger soft and tender to Ashi? O.o sounds like AshiXDagger story O.o)

Dagger nodded. "I worked as a police dog when I was with the humans. I'm ready to jump into my death any time." Dagger got in a fighting position. He was going to prove that he was strong and stronger. He waited for Ashi to stand. "On your call." Dagger's eyes were blazing with anticipation. His thirst for battle was raging inside of him. "I show him I can be a leader... I'll show them all!" He thought to himself.

He stood up and looked Dagger in the eye. He was glad that something interesting was finally happening. He smiled, he hadn't fought anyone in a few weeks, if you didn't consider Aki's little spin attack to be a fight. "You can make the first move. I really don't care that you were with the humans your with me now, I lost both of my parents, but that too is in the past. So, attack me Dagger!" He breathed in the air, it was cool, refreshing. He attempted to focus his thoughts on the fight, it wouldn't serve him well to think about other things, even if they were important to his plans.

Dagger growled and leaped at Ashi, but instead of landing on him he had jumped over him. Dagger then head-butted Ashi from behind. He did this several times from different angles, then he bit into Ashi's tail with his fangs. "Are you just gonna let me win?" He taunted.

The pain flowed through him. It felt horrible, but energizing at the same time. He smelled blood, his blood. He was bleeding from his tail, he had been bitten by dagger. He was disoriented from the multi-angled head-butt, and had to get his bearings. He shook his head, he felt a little bit like he was floating on water. "No, I'm not just gonna let you win. Thats not how this works." He kicked his back legs up in the air, aiming for the area on his tail where he felt the fangs in his flesh and where the warm blood was flowing out of. Hopefully he hit Dagger.

Dagger flew backwards and landed on his feet. "Good. I'd get bored if you. I've longed to fight for much too long." Dagger kept up his head-butts, going from angle to angle and hitting Ashi. Dagger laughed a little. "This is fun," He charged full speed at Ashi and slammed into his side. "But even fun has to come to an end."

He fell over from being beaten,bleeding and exhausted. He sighed and forced himself up, he didn't want this guy to be a platoon leader, he was overconfident, Ashi didn't like overconfidence, he planned to fight until he passed out to try and avoid having Dagger as a platoon leader. He was bleeding from the nose now, his tail, his nose, and he knew that later he'd be sore all over. He didn't care at the moment though, someone like Dagger could screw the whole plan. "Your good at fighting, but you seem to be unable to see your flaws." He ran full force at Dagger, bearing his fangs and launching himself at Dagger's back.

Dagger took the hit and winced. "Congrats. You finally landed a blow on me." Dagger laughed. Then he jumped into the air with Ashi still holding on to his back and slammed at full force into the ground. Dagger could see Ashi's frustration, and that pleased him. "If I'm a challenge for Ashi without breaking a sweat, then other, weaker, dogs would tremble in my presence." He thought to himself. He grinned at the thought, then he bit into Ashi's neck. "Still up for it Ashi? You look tired. I could go on like this all night." Dagger let an evil chuckle escape him. "This is my moment of glory..." He thought to himself again.
